Since 2013 the FKP network in collaboration with the ANU Indonesia Project convened the FKP Roadshow which bring research presentations by international researchers to universities in Indonesia, mostly outside Jakarta.

The 2024 FKP Roadshow was held on Monday, 26 February 2024 at Universitas Kairun, Ternate, and on Wednesday, 28 February 2024 at Universitas Pattimura, Ambon. The theme was Driving progress: innovations in public health and NGO roles in Eastern Indonesia’s development.

The speakers at Universitas Khairun and their topic were:

  • Dr Heni Kurniasih (The SMERU Research Institute): Multistakeholder Collaboration for Inclusive Human Development in Indonesia
  • Professor Budy Resosudarmo (The Australian National University):  Health performance during childhood and its long-term impact on human capital development
  • dr Liasari Armaijn MKes (Universitas Khairun)
  • Dr Amran Husen (Universitas Khairun) Kemiskinan ekstrim dan stunting di Maluku Utara

Around 60 people attended the seminar.

At Universitas Pattimura, Professor Resosudarmo and Dr Kurniasih were joined on the panel by Dr dr Bertha Jean Que (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pattimura) who presented her research on Disease pattern in Southeast Maluku, Tual, and East Seram.

Around 200 people attended the Roadshow, including lecturers and graduate students at various faculties of Universitas Pattimura. Kompas newspaper has an article based on this seminar in Ambon –  read here.
